Cartographs

I’ve spent a great deal of time mapping out what I wanted to, but as we all find out, life will not go according to plan. I’ve re-drawn the map dozens of time in my mind, but it doesn’t matter; it’ll change again.

This time I changed it myself, but I’m still unsure if it’s the direction I want to go. I recall the words of a Cook County Inmate, who said “We is comfortable, being uncomfortable.” I understand exactly what he meant, because the more comfortable we are, the more willing we are to be satisfied with who we are and what we’re doing.

So I made a change. It started two years ago, but through persistence it came to light. December first. The day after November. Maybe there is something to that. Well that was yesterday.

The thing about maps is, they’re hard to change once they’re done, and so much changes in such a short time, it’s easier to map a new one.
