Paint it Red

The white flag is a sign of surrender. In recent years, I’ve refused to quit anything I’ve started. I’ve created a set of values for myself, and decided to stick to them, regardless of the consequences. If you remember Rule Number One, then you will remember that I do not tolerate disrespect. I have stood up to my superiors for my own respect, but also the respect of my coworkers. We are all at different places in our lives, and some of us have a long way to go; others are where they are going to be for the next thirty or forty years before retirement.

So to work very hard, and still not see results…it certainly makes you wonder why you’re trying so hard. But you’ve got to stick to it, and get after it, and continue to move forward. I recently found myself in such a place.

But rather than raise the white flag, I decided to paint it red: the colour of blood, revolution, and as a result, the colour of War. Fight for whatever it is you need to survive, for what makes you feel alive.
